Joe Gallagher is Head of Career Guidance at St Eunan’s College, Letterkenny. In 2016, Joe completed his Phd in Career Guidance and he also holds an MBA in Human Resources from Durham University. He also teaches Business subjects to Leaving Cert level and has had a number of articles published in the area of business education, including the very successful ‘Business in Action’ for Leaving Certificate.
Joe is a member of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors and holds a Certificate of Competence in occupational testing (Levels A & B) from the British Psychological Society.
Following a degree in Psychology at UCD, Elaine joined Career Psychology Ltd, a company of Occupational Psychologists specialising in career development counselling, as a trainee consultant. In her 7 years with the firm, Elaine worked as a full-time consultant, becoming head of the career development section where she set up an additional interview skills and CV compilation service for clients. During this time she also acted as Expert Advisor on a highly successful series of student careers advisory programmes called ‘Wannabe’, which was broadcast by LWT.
On her return to Dublin in 1999, Elaine worked as Learning and Development Manager for a global HR consultancy firm for four years before joining Pinpoint Ltd as an Associate Consultant, specialising in the areas of training, career development counselling, recruitment and selection and out-placement counselling for both public and private sector companies. She currently works as an Associate Consultant with a range of organisations providing training courses, assessments for selection, career transition planning and executive coaching services. Elaine is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of personnel and Development and is a member of the British Psychological Society.
